STUDENT GUARDIAN VISA (SUBCLASS 580)

Student Guardian visa (subclass 580) does not accept new applications since 2016. The visa is a type of visa that was meant for the people who intended to travel to Australia to offer support and care to a student in Australia who is under 18 years or a student who is over 18 years but needs special care.  You would be eligible to this visa if you are the parent or you have a legal custody of a student, the student must be above 21 years of age and your family must not have a child who is younger than 6 years. In addition, you would be eligible to student guardian visa (subclass 580) if you were able to give enough accommodation and general support to the student.  If the visa contained a no further stay condition, then you were not required to re-apply another visa while you are in Australia.  You were supposed to report any changes made to the department in charge to avoid any delay in the airport.   You were required to follow visa conditions and Australian laws while you were in Australia.
