I have recently done a lot of research on the current Syrian immigration crisis and how the European Union is dealing with it as well as what international help they are requesting/receiving. I know that the Dublin Convention has played a large part in EU immigration policy and recently the EU passed a redistribution plan that required all EU member states to participate. I’m hoping to gain a little more insight in to the matter. My questions are:
1) What policies does the EU have in place that is influencing how they are handling the Syrian migration crisis?
2) How are international countries helping the EU with this situation?
3) How has the passing of the redistribution plan divided the EU member states?
